SAMUEL KING

As an artist I like to paint unique animals or animals from exotic places, such as Tasmania. I am interested in animals that have become extinct because of humans’ behavior. I try to feel what it must have been like for the animal living in captivity.

I try to paint the animal’s perspective even if it has become extinct. This is why I am painting the Tasmanian tiger’s early natural habitat. I paint to keep a memory of them living on.

I would also like to experiment with motions of scribing in developing my paintings.

I like to paint animals. It is good to meditate on living things in nature, spiritual creatures and flora that I can relate to.
